DESIGN & APPLICATION

Our coarse screen SolidTech®Nw30 can be used in installations for the treatment of wastewater and also for industrial water.

The curved design in the filtering zone avoids the creation of idle areas and therefore the accumulation of solids in the bottom of the channel, which means less possibilities of machinery breakdown by blockage of solids.

Our versatile design of the filtering grid means we can change the slot at any time if necessary and if any profile has been damaged and has to be replaced, it’s not necessary to remove the equipment from the channel as we can dismount only the filtering grid and this way we are able to reduce maintenance costs for the operating companies.

The solids extraction system or channel cleaning is made up of a number of combs which are adjustable and removable and which are put into motion by a side chain system. The quantity of combs to be installed can be increased or reduced according to the waste evacuation capacity for each installation and when we are dealing with very dirty water it’s convenient to install more combs.

The dimensions of the driving head, or basically the part of the equipment which protrudes from the channel from the coronation wall, can vary according to the required discharge height, and can be reduced in cases where our equipment discharges into our ScrewTech®Nw80, and can be increased when discharged into normal containers.

The driving system is made up of a series of chains and pinions which have an alignment system incorporated, which guarantees efficient cleaning and also helps to reduce the friction of the combs as they move along the filtering grid. This way, with our design, we can reduce the equipment’s electric consumption and therefore contribute to a smaller carbon footprint.

Our equipment’s tensioning system has a standard, easy to regulate SCHAEFFLER tensing device, easy to regulate which guarantees minimum friction and a longer life for the tensing system.

The equipment’s protection system (offering foldable and removable protection lids) has been designed with normalizados components which allows easy assembly and dismounting. There are also inspection panels made out of a transparent plastic material which means that maintenance staff can carry out inspections without having to dismount the lids. We have also incorporated, an electronic security so that if anyone tries to open it, the safety device sends a signal to the main control panel which will automatically STOP THE EQUIPMENT.

This safety element is OPTIONAL but we recommend our clients to incorporate this type of electronic device in the control panel and we can supply on demand. This way we can control various parameters and this device can be triggered off when abnormal activity is detected in the process and therefore we can avoid any further problems if the case of a blockage.
