We supplied the following equipment:
Netwater Technology, has carried out the complete installation of a specially designed metal tank coarse grating with a 15mm clearance for the retention and removal of tailings:
- A SolidTech®Nw30 Coarse Screen, with a capacity to treat 6000kg of diluted sulphur lentils at 25m3/h, with 15mm clearance filtering grid, main construction material in AISI-316L.
- We designed a special metal tank with the bottom of the tank inclined at 35º, the final inclination of the grate was 50º, this angle was an engineering requirement to avoid the accumulation of the sulphur lentils and to make them flow easily.
- We designed a special damper system to maintain the angle of the scraper position so that the scraper would be able to successfully perform its task.
The main objective of our client was to retain plastics or other types of waste, because due to the design of the sulphur plant, they could accumulate in the pit where the pumps that feed the production line are installed:
- By installing the coarse screen, we have managed to guarantee optimum retention of the type of waste (plastics, wipes, seals, etc.), preventing them from filtering into the production line, they are retained and expelled into a container by the system of combs in the screen.
- The other important factor was that the light throughput of the equipment was optimal, to retain the waste, but allow the sulphur lentils to pass through to the production line.
Netwater Technology, through this installation, was able to meet our client’s needs. This had its peculiarities, which was a challenge for our technical team, being a new sector for us, but thanks to excellent communication between the end customer, engineering and Netwater, the project was a success and everything fitted together perfectly. Netwater offered a tailor-made solution, carried out the commissioning of the equipment, we show pictures of the installed equipment.
