Descripción

Simple and efficient screen for removing small or medium sized solids.

† No submerged mechanisms or mobile parts.

† A compact chassis design with a low head loss.

† Versatile design, with perforated or rectangular profile filtering area.

† Drip free basket system for collecting solids.

† Removable system with adjustable cleaning arm.

DESIGN & APPLICATION:

Our screen for fine or medium sized solids RevTech®Nw40, has been designed to be installed in wastewater pre-treatment and is used for treating small flows. It can often be found in towns with approximately 150 ≥ 2100 inhabitants, and also frequently found in tourist areas like camp sites:

This equipment is to be used for extracting and retaining fine or medium sized solid from wastewater.

The equipment’s versatile design means we can manufacture 2 models, according to the solids to be treated:

  • For fine solids we have 2 types of grid (perforated or triangular profiles), and cleaning is carried out by means of a brush with plastic wear and tear resistant teeth.
  • For medium size solids we have a rectangular and cleaning is carried out by means of a laser produced comb which can be adjusted.
  • The equipment is made up of a drive shaft + cleaning arm + two bearing supports and is driven by a gear motor at the turning point and on the opposite side of the cleaning arm is where we find installed the cleaning brush or comb according to the mesh of the filtering grid. A fixed mechanical detector is installed on the frame and a mobile lever on the drive shaft. Every time the drive shaft turns, the detector indicates to us the position of the cleaning arm so that it is always out of the channel.
  • The cleaning arm has a dismountable design which allows us it to be easily replaced, if needed, partially or completely and “in-situ” and without any need to dismount the driving system which is one of the heaviest parts and which can suffer damage in handling. The cleaning arm, as it is constantly in contact with water and air, suffers great wear and tear and should be often replaced along with the cleaning brush. This way we can reduce the maintenance costs for the operating companies.

The number of cleaning arms can be between 1 to 4 units and it’s very important for the client to define the number of arms in their technical specifications.

We have designed a waste collection system whereby a solids collection basket is installed inside the channel, meaning that the coronation walls are maintained clean and free from solids and dirt. This is very important in order to fulfil all health and safety measures in our clients’ installations.

The cleaning speed can be adjusted or regulated (this is OPTIONAL) when large peak flows arise, coming from the rainwater tanks being emptied and this way we can increase the equipment’s cleaning capacity. The client must install an adjustable frequency drive (AFD) in the control panel. We do not recommend an increase in speed of more than 30% compared with the equipment’s normal working speed as this could seriously the structure and the cleaning systems.

Our equipment has a safety or protection system integrated in all the inspection lids which covers the complete turning radius of the cleaning brush which protrudes out over the coronation wall. This element can be manufactured in a plate style or cage to reduce costs and having this element is of utmost importance in order to be able to fulfil standards 2006/42/CE from European Parliament and the del Consejo de  17 de mayo de 2006, relativa a las máquinas y por la que se modifica la Directiva 95/16/CE, which establishes that all members of the European Union are obliged to adopt standards in order to ensure technical safety for the machinery.

A safety element is OPTIONAL but we recommend our clients to incorporate this type of electronic device in the control panel which we can supply on demand. This way we can control various parameters and this device can be triggered off when abnormal activity is detected in the process and therefore we can avoid any further problems if the case of a blockage.
